Hike the Aposelemis Gorge, the longest gorge in northern Heraklion (6 km). Follow trails past ancient stone bridges and Venetian arches; the hike takes 2 to 4 hours. Explore natural history at the fascinating Cave of Skotino, an awe-inspiring site used as a sanctuary since Minoan times. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a challenging round at the scenic Crete Golf Club (6.5 km). This is the only 18-hole international standard golf course in Crete, just a few minutes from Koutouloufari.
